Written Among The Stars

I received the very sad news last night that my main freelance website will be closing in December. And no new content can be added after the 21st of May. This really sucks. I've been writing for that site for over 4 years.

But, at the same time, I can see how we got to this point. In 2011-ish, the company got bought out. We were promise HUGE things. Everything was going to be sunshine and rainbows and unicorn farts. I was optimistic but cautiously so. Then the incentive payments went away, uh oh. Then the contests went away, more uh oh. Then they announced they were going to be launching things as specialized "microsites" to increase our ad revenue earnings. After that happened, ad revenue tanked. I haven't made a whole dollar since those sites launched, but I stuck it out hoping that it would improve. It didn't and now it's going to be all over.

Now I need new writing sites. I've gotten about 8 recommendations, which is a lot. But out of those there are one or two that really have caught my eye, And another one or two that I am cautiously going to try out.

Do any of my BL people know any good ones?
