What on earth is going on with NBC? As if their ratings couldn't get any worse they are not...pro-Russian? I just....I try to stay away from politics but seriously what the hell?

1. I was watching the figure skating the other day and noticed something. The NBC commentators were practically licking the butts of all the Russian competitors. And then crapping all over all of the others. At one point my husband just looked at me in shock and said, "did they really just say that?"  I think it was when a Russian skater finished his good performance, not spectacular but good, and you would have thought he reinvented skating. Then a US skated tripped and fell and you hear, "He's upset over this performance as a whole, and he should be. He'll be lucky to get a 16."  My jaw just dropped. Then when he got a 20-something the same commentator says, "He should be feeling really lucky, he didn't deserve that."  Now, come on, that's just too much.

2. Then we have this little gem during the broadcast of the opening ceremonies, in reference to Soviet era Russia, "The revolution that birthed one of modern history’s pivotal experiments." Wait, what? Communism that killed millions is a "pivotal experiment"? An experiment in what exactly NBC? And the image that accompanied it....a status of the hammer and sickle. I kind of threw up in my mouth a little bit.

What planet am I living on? I have to stop watching the Olympics, I can't take this kind of nonsense anymore.
